Healdsburg Running Camp offers professional guides with ultra-marathon experience, celebrated area chefs and local vintners who join an intimate group of campers running on public and private trails.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Healdsburg “Kick Off Party!”
Arrive at HRC and take a luxury van to the Rockpile Ranch. Those who choose are welcome to take in an optional shake-out run. Kick Off Party with a seasonal gourmet meal, delicious local wine, sponsors' gifts, gear and live music! Orientation meeting before dinner. Campfire to cap off your arrival at the beautiful Rockpile Ranch.

Day 2: Lake Sonoma South Lake Trail Head
After a pre-run breakfast, local hand-ground coffee, and optional yoga class, we will run a portion of the world famous Lake Sonoma 50 Trail. Guided by the race’s co-directors (and former editors of Ultra Running Magazine) John Medinger and Lisa Henson, the beautiful Lake Sonoma run will end with a lovely picnic lunch and a presentation of Dry Creek Valley’s Mauritson Wine by its winemaker Emma Kudritski Hall. After lunch we return to Rockpile for showers and a rest. Then it's off to the Alexander Valley for a wine & cheese pairing and bocce ball games at the Medlock Ames tasting gardens. A quick drive to Healdsburg will bring us to the hip tasting room of Banshee Wines to taste more local delicacies. We will walk through the Healdsburg Plaza to Mateo’s Cocina Latina for an outdoor gourmet Yucatan dinner and a screening of a running film. A relaxing drive back to our beds at Rockpile Ranch will cap off a full day.

Day 3: Rockpile Ranch Run
Seasonal local breakfast, Flying Goat Coffee and optional yoga class will prepare us for our Day 3 run. A California Winemaker of the Year and avid ultra-runner, Diane Wilson will lead us on the beautiful trails outside our doorstep at Rock Pile Ranch. A post-run nutrition session will give us the energy to begin today's wine journey at Wilson Winery with Diane. After this tasting we will enjoy a lunch of acclaimed Italian food at Geyserville’s Diavola Restaurant where we will enjoy a full lunch and photo re-cap of the camp. We head back to HRC and say our good-byes. (Interested campers are welcome to join in a winemaker dinner with Preston Winemaker Mathew Norelli at Louis Maldonado’s Spoonbar in the H2Hotel.
